Shipping Container Sizes
Shipping Container Lengths
All ShippingContainersMiami suppliers carry the ISO standard 20' ad 40' long containers. A large number of suppliers also carry 8', 10', and 30' containers as well as some in between sizes. If you need something custom, certain suppliers can also build to order to be sure to specify your needs when Requesting a Quote.
Shipping Container Width and Heights
All standard containers will be 8' wide. Most containers are 8'6" high, though some suppliers also offer "high cube" (9'6" tall) containers.
Door Configurations
The most basic of containers has a single set of double steel doors at one end. All container sizes are also generally available with doors that open at both ends. Many Suppliers will also offer a side door configuration with up to four side doors available on the largest containers.
Security Options
Basic Security
Standard containers at a minimum will allow for a self provided padlock to secure the entry doors. Obviously, the higher the quality of the lock you select to use, the more secure these will be.
Enhanced Security Options
Many suppliers offer enhanced security as well with options for more advanced door locking mechanisms and steel re-inforcement to cover up locks.
Weather Proofing
New containers should be wind and water tight, ensuring that your valuables are protected from the elements. If you are looking to purchase a used container, make sure to ask about the condition of the seals as some of these older containers may be sold as is.
Transporting the Shipping Container
Delivery and Pickup
Our Suppliers will deliver the container to your required location. For leased units, they will also pick up the container when the lease has ended.
Relocation
If you need to move your container after the initial delivery, you can schedule for the Supplier to relocate it for you. Additional charges may apply for relocation.
Freight / Transport Services
While our containers can be used for transport of goods, our supply partners do not provide any freight services. If you intent to use the container for transporting goods rather than on site storage, you will likely need to buy the container outright as opposed to leasing. Once the container is delivered to you it is up to you to handle transport of stored goods.
